Welcome to The Lake Place!

For the past 40 years our family has enjoyed the picturesque scenery and relaxing nature of Lake Cushman and the Olympic National Forest from the comfort of our cabin. Since construction first started on our “base camp” in 1970, we have been blessed to share many wonderful memories in this special place, and now we are opening our beloved home to others for even more memories to be made!

Our cabin features a wonderful wrap around deck perfect for sitting in the sun and enjoying a good book, or barbecuing dinner with family and friends while you watch the wildlife go by. During the summer when the water level is highest (between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends) the lake provides for any number of water activities, from boating to canoeing, water skiing to swimming. With the state park within a short drive, there are many numerous hiking paths of varying length and intensity to enjoy. The cabin itself comes stocked with a wide selection of books, videos and games for those unpredictable rainy days. There is driveway parking for 4-6 vehicles off street, perfect for getting together a few friends. Pets are allowed with some restrictions and additional fee so that you don’t have to leave Fido at home.

A private park and boat launch are just a few blocks walking distance and parking passes are included. Boat launch fee is $6 per day.

Short day trips could include a drive to the town of Hoodsport, only 20 minutes away, where you can indulge in coffee, ice cream, shopping, or even some wine tasting at the Hoodsport Winery. Or take a longer drive up the beautiful HWY 101 to explore the memorable town of Port Townsend.
